Whats On

Saturday 2nd of July, Alex Biddle and Charmaine Landwehr

This Saturday we have Alex Biddle and Charmaine Landwehr as our feature poets.

Alex Biddle (left pictured) currently has six girlfriends, seven boyfriends, three non-binary partners and 72 Ferrari's. Since her last feature performing at the Moon, Alex now have seventeen traffic cones which is one less than their age. Alex is also known as a "gender fluid superstar" but mostly just called “Biddle”. Alex was our youngest feature at Perth Poetry Club, and in their words “They do poetry sometimes and it’s alright I guess.” Alex’s poetry certainly is alright.

Saturday 25th of June, Becky Monks and Geoff Spencer!

This Saturday 25th June 2016, we have two great features by name of Becky Monks and Geoff Spencer.

Becky Monks is a 21-year-old performance poet and postgraduate Medical student at UWA, with a degree in German and 40 grand’s worth of HECS debt.  Becky is a member of the Said Poets’ Society and helps to run spoken word workshops in Perth high schools.  She is also a regular performer at Spoken Word Perth and Perth Slam.

Saturday 4th of June, Bill Jenkins and Xan Ashbury!

Bill Jenkins (aka Bill/Dr Bill and various) is a psychologist and poet.  First published as a poet in 1967, Bill has a chequered and anonymous history, coming out of the poetic closet only recently.  His subject matter is life and he understands poetry as an active and therapeutic engagement with existence.  As academic, consultant and volunteer Bill has worked largely with those approaching death through the hospice movement, and with children recovering from cancer.  Currently his ‘work’ is limited to hanging out occasionally with the homeless.
