It certainly was an unforgettable year with poetry, COVID-19 and Zoom. Thank you to our 1,800+ audience, 840 open-mikers, 60 features during the year, who helped deliver over 2,100 poems

This is our last gig for 2020 and what a year it has been.
This Saturday 5th December 2pm-4pm we have a Mega Open-mike event, VIA ZOOM and at THE MOON CAFÉ.
Perth Poetry Club holds Mega Open-mikes quarterly as an opportunity for every open-miker to be a feature with 5 minutes (maximum) of performance time.
Best to prepare your performance. Try something different, experimental. Edit and refresh your poems. Hone your performance skills. Past events have been memorable for the quality of the poetry and performances.
This Saturday 28th November 2pm-4pm we have the wonderful poet Jan Napier, launch of her haiku book Day Moon and open-mike at Perth Poetry Club, VIA ZOOM and at THE MOON CAFÉ.
Jan Napier began to write in 2004. Her first two books were collections of short stories. However it quickly became apparent that her real passion was poetry. Jan has published two collections of poetry, Thylacine (2015) and Listening to Frost (2020).

This Saturday 14th November 2pm-4pm we have the wonderful poet Jaya Penelope and open-mike at Perth Poetry Club, VIA ZOOM and at THE MOON CAFÉ.
Poet and storyteller, Jaya Penelope has been a part of Perth’s poetry and performance community for twenty years.
She has hosted poetry readings, performed at local and interstate festivals, self-published three zines and a cd (all vintage items now) and been published in various literary journals.
This Saturday 7th November 2pm-4pm we have the wonderful poet Splodge and open-mike at Perth Poetry Club, VIA ZOOM and at THE MOON CAFÉ.
Splodge is an English-born performance poet, writer, interventionist and artist.
He is dynamic. His voice is velvet smooth. His words dance through your senses; take you to surprising places!
His poetry has featured on both the written page and nebulous web, but it is best to experience it live…
This Saturday 31th October 2pm-4pm we have the international launch of Seeing Trees by wonderful poets John C Ryan + Glen Phillips, launch speech by Vivienne Glance and open-mike at Perth Poetry Club, VIA ZOOM and at THE MOON CAFÉ. Pizzas at half-time.
