Perth Poetry Club starts back this Saturday 16th January 2016 with two fabulous features to start the new year.

Helchild aka Helen Child is a Perth born, satirical poet, comedian and visual artist who combines her warped talents to create performance monstrosities…that first hit the stage in 1995 and haven't stopped, despite many concerted efforts by some to make it stop. Helchild will not stop!! She appears in festivals, zines, TV and radio. Helchild has a CD available, a new zine and lots of appalling videos on YouTube.

Editor of LA-based magazine, "The Poets Without Limits", is currently looking for submissions...

Scott-Patrick Mitchell (S-PM) is local editor of “The Poets Without Limits” magazine, an LA-based magazine. Its mission is Uplift, Inspire, Inform.

S-PM is seeking Spoken Word, video poems, and any other interesting pieces to feature in the magazine… email S-PM on spmxy@hotmail.com for more details.

Wednesday night…. 23rd December, see "Danny Gunzburg and Kevin Gillam" (guitar, harmonica, and cello doing a 45 min set). Doors open 730pm - Door charge $10 – BYO – Corkage fee $5, at Victoria Hall, 179 High Street, Fremantle.

Thank you to everyone who performed and attended Perth Poetry Club in 2015. Overall we had 70+ features, 800+ open-mikers, and 1,750+ audience for the year.

Perth Poetry Club is in recess over the Christmas – New Year period, and starts back with a vengeance on Saturday 16th January 2016 and beyond with the following great line-up (open-mike as always):

Last Gig of 2015! Saturday 12th of December, featuring Claire Potter and Tony Curtis!

The venue as always is the Moon Café 2pm-4pm, 323 William Street Northbridge.

Then after the gig join us at the End of Year After Gig Picnic - Pizza in Hyde Park from 4:30pm onwards. BYO Drink and Nibbles.

Perth Poetry Club will provide $100 worth of pizzas. (walking from the Moon Café, enter Hyde Park at Lake Street, cross the land-bridge between the two lakes, and picnic on the Vincent Street side).
