This Saturday 8th October 2016, we have two great features Gail Willems and Mike Pedrana.
Gail Willems is a retired nurse, lives near the beach, swims, plays with a body board, drinks good shiraz and the occasional bubbles.

Well Versed is presenting ALL the Shakespeare Sonnets (154 of them!) as part of the Shakespeare 400 'family fun day' at UWA on Sat. 22 October (between 12 noon and 3pm outside the Octagon Theatre)
As far as we can tell this has never been done before in the Southern Hemisphere. The whole event is free entry, and audiences can wander through and stay as long - or short - as they like, with some comfy chairs provided.

This Saturday (1st October 2016) is our Mega Open-Mike Event, where everyone is a feature. Perth Poetry Club holds these every quarter, as an opportunity for every open-miker to be a feature with 5 minutes (maximum) of performance time.

We have two great poets Chris Arnold and Tim Gallagher this Saturday who let the power and magic of poetry resonate in what they write and perform.
Chris Arnold has been around Perth poetry gigs since 2010. Lately he’s been writing mostly about dreams, cats, and the people that have them. He recently finished an honours degree in English, where he developed a nasty habit of writing narratives than span many poems. Usually they’re too long for a reading, but this Saturday…
