Perth Poetry Club has wonderful poet Caitlin Maling, plus open-mike, this Saturday 26th October, 2pm-4pm at The Moon Café and on Zoom.

Caitlin Maling is a Fremantle poet whose previous collections, Conversations I’ve Never Had (2015), Border Crossing (2017) and Fish Song (2019) were published by Fremantle Press to great acclaim.

Perth Poetry Club has wonderful poet Colin Young, plus open-mike, this Saturday 12th October, 2pm-4pm, at The Moon Café & on Zoom.

Colin Young twists his writing kaleidoscope to view the world in all its mystery. He’s interested in sexuality, nature and people’s different responses to love and death. He’s thrilled that his first book Between Stations was published in 2022. And he’s grateful to the Perth poetry community that has helped and inspired him all the way.

Football was a popular game for many Indigenous Australians, which was an expression of athleticism that also served a ceremonial, reconciling purpose.

Aboriginal football was watched by colonists on pastoral stations and in the main settlements.
