Perth Poetry Club has wonderful poets Josh Cake & Rose van Son plus open-mike this Saturday 15th February, 2pm-4pm at The Moon Café, 323 William Street, Northbridge, and on ZOOM.

Josh Cake was born and raised in Melbourne and now lives in Paris. Josh has published poems in Breakwater Review, Teesta Review, and Cordite. In 2024, Josh performed poetry features in Morocco, France, Germany, Poland, Belgium, England, Scotland, and the US. Josh has won the Peseroff Poetry Prize from the University of Massachusetts, held the number one ranking in Australia's National Poetry Slam, and was named the Most Impactful Poet of 2024 by the Australian Enterprise Awards. Josh is currently touring the spoken word album words to regret when i'm better at editing, available at www.joshcake.com

Rose van Son has been widely published in journals and anthologies including, Cordite, Rabbit, Westerly, Grieve, Australian Poetry and the Glasgow Review of Books. Her collections include Cloak of Letters, Nature’s Warehouse and from the open doorway (haiku).
She has judged the Tom Collins Poetry Award, the Ros Spencer Prize, the Poetry d’Amour Prize and the inaugural Perth Library, Haiku on Hay, Prize.
Rose was Guest Poet at the Perth Poetry Festival 2015, and New Norcia Writers Festival 2018 and York Writers’ Festival 2021.
In 2022, she was Patron of the Perth Poetry Festival, and delivered the Keynote Address.
In 2024 Rose was Guest Poet at the Ninth Shanghai International Poetry Festival, a five day poetry Festival held in Shanghai, China.
