Saturday 18th January, Lisa Collyer + Draz!

This Saturday 18th January we have the wonderful poets Lisa Collyer + Draz to entertain us.

Lisa Collyer is a poet, storyteller and English teacher.  Her poetry is not nice - it aims to disorient and challenge expectations of female experience and Australian identity.  Her work is imbued with the ‘body’ exploring how women’s physical experiences shape a life.  She reads regularly at Perth Poetry Club and has been a repeat feature as a guest storyteller at Barefaced Stories.

Draz is a poet/musician who is currently on the verge of creating and releasing films set in the heart of nature, accompanying his music.  He started writing poetry 5 years ago as an art form to paint images and landscapes in people's minds, hoping that they may realize there is more to this tiny blue planet than meets the human eye.

He hopes to create fresh sights and new sounds that will help inspire people to come together, to get back to nature and a deeper root of living.  Draz is grateful to be sharing his poetry with us this Saturday.  If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask him anything after the gig.

Please join us to celebrate poetry this Saturday afternoon 2pm - 4pm at the Moon Café, 323 William Street Northbridge with Lisa Collyer + Draz + open-mike.
