This Saturday (17th December 2016) is our final gig for the year. We end the year with feature poet Splodge, and Mega Open-Mike, plus announcement of the Chriku (Christmas Haiku) competition.
Splodge is an English-born performance poet, writer, interventionist and artist. He is dynamic. His voice is velvet smooth, yummy as chocolate. His words dance through your senses and take you to surprising places! His poetry has featured on both the written page and nebulous web, but it is best to experience it live….
Mega Open-Mike Event, where everyone is a feature with 5 minutes (maximum) of performance time. Best to prepare your performance. Try something different, experimental. Edit and refresh your poems. Hone your performance skills. Past events have been memorable for the quality of the poetry and performances.
So get your last fix of poetry for the year, this Saturday afternoon 2pm-4pm at the Moon Café, 323 William Street Northbridge.
Then AFTER THE GIG
Re-convene for an End-of-Year Pizza from 4:15pm at Comet Pizza, 252 William Street Northbridge. Comet Pizza is recently opened, and located between The Moon and the Horse-shoe Bridge. We would provide some pizza and garlic bread. The venue is BYO alcohol, no BYO soft drink.
