Saturday 6th of August, Matt Hetherington and Bill Dickie!

This Saturday 6th August at Perth Poetry Club we have two features (Matt Hetherington and Bill Dickie) and a book launch.  What more could you ask?

Matt Hetherington is a writer, music-maker, and moderate self-promoter living in Brisbane.  He has been writing poetry for over 30 years, and has published four poetry collections and over 300 poems.  He is a great performer and entertainer – someone not to be missed.

His first all-haiku/senryu collection For Instance was published in March 2015 by Mulla Mulla Press.  http://www.mullamullapress.com/   He is also on the board of the Australian Haiku Society http://www.haikuoz.org/

Matt’s book, For Instance will have its Perth launch during the gig by our own Coral Carter (Mulla Mulla Press).

William (Bill) Dickie is originally from Scotland, a little town called Saltcoats which sits on the Ayrshire coast.  He has been living and working in Perth since 2009.

He has worked in the energy industry for the last 25 years.  Bill started writing poetry on the 1st March 2015, while he was working overseas in Oman.  Six months later he self-published his book of poetry called “A Window to the Soul”.  Describing the world in rhyme and all the emotions contained within it, including poetry for friends and family.

So be entertained this Saturday afternoon 2pm-4pm with Matt and Bill at The Moon Café, 323 William Street Northbridge.  Open-mike as always.
