HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR PERFORMANCE - Microphone Technique Workshop with Ben Hoare, PPC sound engineer
On Sunday – 4th August 2019, 12:30pm to 1:30pm, at The Moon Café, 323 William Street, Northbridge.
Ben Hoare has been part of Perth Poetry Club for 8 years being PPC sound engineer.
Ben also has sung in choirs for 20 years and knows a thing or two about breathing, voice production and projection.
Ben will be giving a lesson on microphone technique – how to get the best performance. Subjects to be covered include:
• How to address the mike | Voice production – breathing | Voice projection & resonance
The session will last for 60minutes. Please be prompt and arrive 10 minutes early.
Number of participants will be limited to 10. Cost $5-$10.
The idea is to have a short theory session and then everyone has a go on the mike (read a 2-minute poem or prose that you are very familiar, and comfortable, with) and Ben will critique it, on the fly, as you read it. You will learn from other participants and their experiences - in a supportive atmosphere.
