Saturday 24th of June, Maitland Schnaars and friends!

Our feature poet is Maitland Schnaars, this Saturday 24th June 2017 at Perth Poetry Club with support from Kevin Gillam and Allan Boyd.

Maitland Schnaars is an award winning writer who has studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and Edith Cowan University. Maitland has written many performance pieces combining poetry, multi-media, visual art, movement and sound. In 2005 he was a co-founder of the theatre company Corazon De Vaca (q.v.)…

Examples of Works by Maitland Schnaars include:

Black Ants (2016), If I Drown I Can Swim (2010), Tears of Blood (2008).       

Appeared in The Little Astronaut (2013) and Ace of Spades (2012).

Appeared/wrote Deadly Yarns 6 on ABC’s Message Stick.

Performed in the 2013 Perth Poetry Festival, and much much more…

Maitland is a wonderful poet and actor, and will be supported by friends (Kevin Gillam and Allan Boyd, the anti-poet).
