Saturday 18th of February, Naniso Tswai and Christine Della Vedova!

Our two fabulous features this Saturday 18th February 2017 at Perth Poetry Club are Naniso Tswai & Christine Della Vedova.

Naniso Tswai is a Berlin-based author and academic. His work is strongly embedded in broader issues of justice and peace, particularly as these relate to human rights and identity. Over the past five years he has shifted his focus from academic writing to fiction writing, this has come in the form of short stories and novels. He is also a Spoken Word performer, an artistic outlet which allows him to express himself with a different voice. He is the founder and co-director of Berlin Spoken Word (BSW).

Naniso appeared at Perth Poetry Club last year.  He is back again before returning to Berlin.

Christine Della Vedova - well Hmmmm! Here are a few words. Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Here are some more words. Christine Della Vedova is a Perth performance poet who loves devouring literature in the fantasy genre, including the Earthsea series, the Narnia Chronicles and yes, the Harry Potter books. Christine loves the fantastical aspect of poetry and the way that certain combinations of phonological sounds can briefly transport one to another world.

When she’s not riding direwolves or walking through wardrobes, she’s indoctrinating kidlets of various ages with a love of poetry and literature. She performs on a non-regular basis at Perth Poetry Club, Voicebox and Spoken Word and you can tease her by asking her to sing one of the 8 nursery rhymes she has recently memorised.

Please join us at The Moon Café 323 William Street Northbridge this Saturday 2pm-4pm for Naniso Tswai & Christine Della Vedova.  Open mike as always…
